Opening Times

If you have an Urgent Medical Problem when the Surgery is open, please call the Surgery on 02088022002 and indicate that it's an Urgent Medical Problem to one of the Receptions. Please have the patients date of birth to help receptions and the on-call doctor deal with the problem efficiently.

DUTY DOCTOR SERVICE – FOR WHEN YOU HAVE AN URGENT MEDICAL PROBLEM

This service offers you quick access to your GP practice, where they know you and have your full medical record. We recommend this service instead of going to A&E at the hospital

1. Phone the surgery and explain to reception that you have an urgent problem

2. Reception can then put you on the Duty Doctor list

3. The Duty Doctor will ring you back within 2 hours

4. The Duty Doctor will decide with you what you need, which could be:

   • Advice over the phone

   • An appointment at the surgery

   • A home visit if you are not well

   • A referral to another service

If you need medical advice in an emergency please telephone 111

NHS 111

NHS 111 is a 24-hour advice and information service about health, illness and health services. Call them if you need medical help but it’s not a 999 emergency.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
